Our target
To promote the improvement of the quality of cultural and historical heritage, nature protection, education and tourism services on the Baltic Sea coast.
Our tasks
To help preserve, maintain, manage and improve the culturally and historically unique fishing village - Pape Ķoņu village with consultations and practical activities.
2. To popularize the daily life and traditions of coastal fishing villages.
3. To create new synergies between tourism and cultural heritage, nature protection, and to offer active internationally competitive cultural and nature tourism products.
4. To identify, study, clean up and improve the cultural, historical and natural values of the coast.
5. Exchange of experience and cooperation with other organizations, state and local government institutions in Latvia and abroad.
6. To attract financing from Latvian and foreign funds in order to promote the course and implementation of cultural and historical heritage research, education, nature protection and practical restoration works.
7. Organizing and supporting public and educational events.
8. Publication of informative and educational materials, as well as dissemination of other types of information.
9. Create exhibitions and participate in local and international exhibitions.
10. Management of buildings owned or owned by the Foundation.
11. Attracting historical and cultural heritage research institutions, scientists and local researchers:
To advise state and local government institutions, as well as private legal entities, which own or hold objects of cultural and historical heritage, on their sustainable use;
To perform practical restoration works of wooden construction joinery;
Carry out inspections of historic buildings on the coast;
To promote and coordinate the systematic study of the cultural heritage of the coast, the collection and compilation of materials;
12. To create a “material bank” for the preservation, maintenance and restoration of cultural and historical heritage.
